In the midst of movement and chaos, keep stillness inside of you.

In the midst of movement and chaos, keep stillness inside of you.

I like to start in the middle....

So today is one of those days where you can't see diamond for all the shiny reflecting lights..... I'm trying to see the good, the blessing, the big picture, and it isn't working all that well. There's too much going on- too much chaos and noise.

A little perspective can go along way. But where to find it? Friends, family..... God?

People say when you're trying to find something, stop and retrace your steps. Inevitably, you'll remember where you put keys, cell phone, or whatever it maybe. But does that work when trying to find yourself? Can you find yourself by retracing your steps?

Did you find your keys still hanging in the doorknob of your front door and the cell phone inside the refrigerator? Let me guess, you remembered you were talking to your mom on the phone while opening the front door and then heading straight for the refrigerator to get a bottle of water....all while holding three grocery bags and stumbling over the dog? We do so many things without thinking about them- just habits. We go through the motions with no intent or purpose or emotion or thought.

I guess it's easy to look up and say, "whoa, what's going on or when did that happen?" We get so wrapped up in the our schedules and errands and chores and making plans that so many times we're just planning on planning on doing something.

The big picture? The blessing? The good? Where's the perspective?
